Story So Far-What You Don't See LP (Pure Noise)

2011 war das Jahr für The Story So Far.Wie aus dem Nichts katapultierte sich das Debüt-Album,Under Soil And Dirt" an Pop-Punk Spitze und konnte in den USA große Erfolge und Touren mit The Wonder Years und New Found Glory erzielen.2 Jahre später erscheint das neue Werk,What You Don't See"der nach einem New Found Glory Song benannten Band.Songs wie ,Things I Can't Change",Small Talk und Right Here knüpfen nahtlos an die Debüt-LP an, und auch die weiteren 8 Songs der knapp 30 Minuten langen Scheibe überzeugen.
Leider fehlen grosse Songs wie Quicksand oder Roam was die Stimmung etwas drückt.Fazit:Starkes Album einer noch sehr jungen Band die vor allem Live sehenswert ist!.

Pentimento-Pentimento LP (Coffeebreath and Heartache)

Das kleine Bielefelder Liebhaber Label Coffeebreath and Heartache veröffentlicht mit Pentimentos Debüt-Album das wohl jetzt schon beste Emopunk Album 2013.Warum das so ist. Pentimento aus Buffalo besitzen im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Bands aus dem Genre Hymnen und Texte die sich im Gedächtnis festsetzen und dort auch bleiben.Songs wie,Unless" entwickeln sich zu einem eigenständigen Hit mit Hot Water Music Reibeisenstimme.Der darauffolgende Song,Circles" könnte auch auf den letzten 2 Brand New Alben Platz finden und,Almost Atlantic"besitzt ein Ozean-Flair.Abwechslung wird bei Pentimento sowieso großgeschrieben und so finden sich auch Balladen wie,Subtle Words" und die Acoustic Version von,The Bridge" .11 Songs=11 Hits!.Das Album kann man sich hier anhören: http://pentimentony.bandcamp.com/album/pentimento
